Lesson Help
Here is a great place to get help with a lesson/problem between classes.
Welcome to the Mathematics for Elementary School Teachers Blog. This is the place where students at Seattle Central Community College can discuss their course projects. Please check into the Blog space for your project theme.

I'm not really sure where to post this, but here are links to two more cool math music videos, they are pretty funny...

SRA Math is how I learned to add, subtract, multiply, and divide when i was just 3-4 years old. My mother had purchased a few componets of the SRA Real Math for me and my siblings back in 1980 when it was much cheaper, but its even better now then it was then. They have components for all subjects and tons of manipulatives and other lerning aids
You can get a free catalog of the various SRA stuff sent to you
Here are a few links to the SRA, Mcgraw Hill and a few other interesting websites

These are interesting sites. Let's try a rating system. If you check out the site, tell us what you think. Give 5 stars to indicate that it is incredibly useful for elementary school teachers and very easy to navigate; down to 1 star for somewhat applicable for elementary school teachers and difficult to navigate. Give a short explanation with the star rating.
I would give both of the youtube links stacy provided a rating of three stars, because the films are interesting enough, but the quality of the films isnt too great, and music wise its best suited for older elementary students 4-8th rather than younger ones like k-3rd
I love enchanted learning. I would give it a 4, I use it all the time with the 5 year old that I watch. Whenever we need a new art project, this site is full of ideas. The only downside is you need to join the site in order to download and print some of the stuff. But it isn't a huge deal as all of the ideas are there for the taking!
I loved the second website you posted, William, the manatee one. I’d definitely rate this high, especially for a newer teacher who might not be as familiar with making worksheets. Maybe a four or five star? I mainly clicked around the “Math Lab” and liked how you could create your own printable worksheets after picking all the specifications you wanted.
I like the first two sites: enchantelearning.com & the manatee one as well. The first one is user-supported, so not a polished-looking site... somewhat confusing to navigate, but good content, I think. I checked out activities & manipulatives & came up w/ some good tools to use on my subject for the project.

Hey Brianne. I sent you an email with stuff from Wednesday, let me know if you don't get it?

Maybe I'm reading everything completely wrong, but are the homework problems listed on the website not lining up for the most part with the book for anyone else?
Sorry about that, just follow the problem numbers, if the letters do not match, do all the problems for that number.
Great, thank you. I was guessing it had to do with the teacher's manual differing from ours, but i wanted to make sure.
Stacy, you will find that with most of the rest of the hw...i finished it a while ago and it stays that way for the rest of the hw
I should have asked during class, but suppose it can be covered in test review, about those "huge" numbers, e.g. is 18 a factor of 4000000000000000000000000000212, and factors. (We did cover the prime factorisations)
